| The restoration of the Gang car was completed in August of 2005 and is now on permanent display at the Junction. See photo at the bottom or the page for the completed project. |
The gang car in the initial and final stages of restoration. A number of local businesses and individuals contributed to this project. |

The Gang Car usually seated four members of a Maintenance or a Way crew. This specific version that is owned by the museum is powered by a 4 cylinder, Ford Engine. There is more history regarding this addition to the Museum but we will add that at a later time. |
Above is the nearly completed car with exterior painting complete. The windows were installed in mid-July 2005. The total restoration was completed before the East Grand Forks Heritage Days in August. Note that a rotating beacon light has been reinstalled on the roof tof the car. |
Here is the fully restored gang car as it is being delivered to the museum where it rests on the tracks for the public to enjoy. The gang car is fully functional and capable of being operated on any standard gauge rail line. |
