Making Your Inner Goals a Real World Reality

January is the time of year that most people decide to take a look at where they are in their lives and what they want for the future year ahead. It’s the time for putting aside all the things that you weren’t able to accomplish previously and make a new start on your life. There is something special about the New Year that can’t quitae be explained. Everyone you know understands its concepts, but nobody can really put a theory together as to why it is so compelling for us to make New Year resolutions.

What are you reasons for making New Year resolutions? Maybe you have decided not to make any this year. What made you decided that?

Which ever path you have decided to take, there lies a common thread that joins each direction from the very beginning. That is belief in yourself, the belief that you have the ability to make the desired changes that are needed in order for you to achieve your personal goal.

The Real Treasure

Many people dream about treasure hunting. Folks love the idea of finding something of great value and having it change their life for the better. We love the idea of going from a tough situation to one of comfort and ease. Perhaps this stems from our upbringing. As babies we enter a state of discomfort such as hunger or a dirty diaper and we cry, then a sweet mommy or daddy comes and feeds us or puts a fresh diaper on us…not only that but they hold us and goo goo baby-talk to us. Do you see how this can affect our entire life? From this moment on we are constantly wanting/needing instant gratification and we have learned that going from a difficult situation to a comfortable situation is very emotionally desirable. I am not saying this is wrong…it is just a fact of life.

As we grow our guardians help us become independent and tell us to fend for ourselves, grow-up, stop complaining, don’t cry.
